Granny's Spices is located in Rajkot; the fourth largest city in the State of Gujarat, India. Our state-of-the-art factory covers the area of
40,000 sq. Feet which is divided into different departments. These departments are fully equipped with high quality machinery and equipment's, which is used throughout the entire production line. Our well designed infrastructure includes Cleaning, Sorting, Cryo-Grinding, Blending, Steam Sterilizing, Testing and Packing.


Granny's Spices uses a state-of-the art cryogenic grinding technology that instantly freezes the spices and lock in their natural flavor and color. Cryogenic grinding is a method of powdering spices at sub-zero temperatures ranging from 0 to minus 70°F. The spices are frozen with liquid nitrogen as they are being powdered. This process does not damage or alter the chemical composition of the spices in any way. Normal grinding processes which do not use a cooling system can reach up to 200°F. These high temperatures can reduce volatile components and heat-sensitive constituents in herbs. The cryogenic grinding process starts with air-dried spices, rather than freeze-dried spices. Spices processed using Cryo-grinding has better natural color, as compared to conventional process, this is very much important all spices. Finer particle size can be achieved without aroma loss and natural color change.


Granny’s Spices uses a sortex machine to Clean, Grade and Sort Spices. It transforms raw material to the purest forms of whole seeds and powdered spices.

We at Granny's Spices have installed steam sterilizer from Germany which is a world leader in steam sterilization technology and is installed worldwide by all leading food processing and pharma companies. They offer high-tech technology for sterilization of spices without losing their color and taste. Our steam sterilizer maintains color, taste, smell and humidity which give the best results.


We have our in-house National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) standard laboratory. We have a well operational laboratory for physical, chemical and microbiological testing with all the required instruments and well trained analysts to carry out tests of the spices at 3 stages collection, during production, and of the finished product at the time of packing, according to specific National and International Standards. To remain contemporary, we continuously upgrade our equipment and testing methods by keeping abreast with emerging food safety standards and regulations in order to deliver superior value to our customers.


The whole plant set up of Granny’s Spices is fully automated & controlled by Integrated supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system.
